5. Agent Dolls- Wynonna Earp

You can’t talk about Wynonna Earp without her trusty lizard-like sidekick, Agent Dolls (Shamier Anderson). Described as, “Think Law & Order detective meets X-Files investigator and you’ve got Agent Xavier Dolls. Dolls is all-business, a straight shooter who’s seemingly married to his work and afraid of nothing. Except maybe his past.”

When we first met him on this show, he came off as very textbook, doing things a certain way. He wasn’t very deep and he didn’t have much of a story. But through the episodes, he gained more interest in him, and as the interest grew, so did his plot. There are things that he’s hiding from Wynonna and in season 2, we’re hoping to figure those things out.

It’s also interesting because it seems as though gender roles are reversed in Wynonna Earp. The girls are the tough, powerful, confident leads while the men seem to be competitive, confused, and inferior. That’s something you rarely see on TV, something we desperately need more of. I think that’s a testament to Emily Andras and her incredible group of writers for the show.
