46. Rey’s Ahch-To Outfit

When she leaves the D’Qar Resistance base, Rey actually changes clothes, and this is what she wears when she finds Luke Skywalker at the Jedi Temple on the planet of Ahch-To. It’s a one-scene wonder, which is why it doesn’t make it higher up this list.

However, it does represent a lot of potential for where Rey’s story is going. Cast your mind back to TESB. Remember Luke’s grey jacket on Dagobah and Bespin? The colors aren’t exactly the same, but the point remains: her palette appears to be heading on a similar trajectory as Luke’s. We’re not saying Episode IX will see her sporting all-black, but the point remains.

She can even take the top layer off, and one suspects the top below is, in fact, a tank top.

On a secondary note, the blues and greys bring the idea of water and the sky to mind. Rey once imagined an ocean when she couldn’t sleep on Jakku, remember?

The look also remains uniquely hers, though, even with the similar ideas to Luke’s TESB clothing. Here, she again sports detached sleeves, and the shoulder details call back to the draping of her Jakku costume. She also has the same satchel and a tool belt as well. Moreover, she keeps her triple-bun hairstyle.

She does lose the long trailing fabric, however.
