She supports paid family leave.

Bill Clinton signed the Family and Medical Leave Act over 20 years ago, allowing families to take up to 12 weeks of paid leave to care for a child or a sick family member. And Hillary Clinton fully supports this as well. Mandating paid family leave means that more women can stay working and earn more money. It’s typical that women need more time off after the delivery of a child, not only to just physically recover but because of that maternal instant to connect with your child. It’s also typical for women to be the caregivers of sick family members or elderly adults. Without paid leave, women are forced to leave their jobs due to family obligations.

Hillary has pledged to support more paid leave. “I believe that what’s good for women is good for America.” She understands that women are half of this country, so why not enforce rules and regulations and laws that protect them, their families, and their well-being. Women are in the labor force more than ever, but they’re still called on to take care of their growing families. Paid family leave can help them manage it all.
