Heidi is wearing a surprisingly long bodycon dress made of many shades of blue. We’ll assume that’s not an endorsement of Rik/Laurence/Roberi’s team. She announces that the public voted Team New Neutrals for the winner of the 20% advantage. Zac Posen and Nina Garcia are in residence to run the Public vote over. They’re joined by Project runway regular guest judge Kelly Osborne, who is also here to plug her book, and remind everyone that Project Runway Junior will be back for a second season, directly following the finale of Project Runway Season 15.

Mushy Middle: Team New Neutral

Nathalia: I hate the pants with their cut out knees, and the tiny vest over turtleneck is everything that was bad about 1973.

Jenni: It looks like something worn at the grand ole opry in 1965. The “popcorn” bits on the sweater shoulders are something I wore in elementary school in 1986.

Mah-Jing: One of the issues the team had all the way through is fit, and that carried over into the bodice of this dress, which fits her like a paper bag. The coat’s ok, but I wonder if it would fit if she put it on instead of draped it.

Top: Team Blue

Rik: I thought it was a coat with two throw away pieces until he says those throw away pieces are actually a slip dress. The judges love everything about this outfit and that everything could be exchanged with everything else. Zac says the entire collection is on another level.

Laurence: Her t shirt is a throwaway, but the jacket and pants are so divine I don’t even care. It’s the sort of outfit where you pay too much for the t shirt because you have to have the whole look because the other two pieces are that good. Kelly calls herself mind blown.

Roberi: His Signature sweater is well paired with the leather and flannel skirt with looks like someone finally made a skirt with a flannel tied around the waist. Heidi loves all the little details, and how there’s touches of blue on white and black palette. in the end, the decide to give it to Roberi, but really I think it could have been any of them.

Bottom: Team Red Violet

Dexter: The faux kimono overlap with the giant arms would be more of a stunner if it weren’t for the un-ending red….Wasn’t their team red-violet? Where is the violet? Heidi agrees, the red is overwhelming.

Erin: The coat is so totally her, but the top is a throw away, and the skirt is Cornelius’. The question is if the judges are ready to be done with her yet? Nina hates the styling, and demands to know if the contestants couldn’t see it.

Cornelius: His plaid jacket looks like it was closed with tape, and the seams are uneven. You can tell the pleated skirt was an afterthought. Kelly sneers there is nothing here that’s punk.

Unlike last time there’s no self sacrifice to be found here, with Erin and Dexter throwing Cornelius under the bus and Cornelius calling out Dexter to go home, and Erin for not listening to him, and having the bad ideas while leaving him to make them. In the end, the judges decide that they still can’t get over Erin already and Dexter either. Cornelius may be a passive agressive, backbiting, snide, odious personality in the workroom, but he doesn’t deserve to go home like this. And Tim agrees. He pulls the Tim Gunn Save™ out, and, for perhaps the first time since Michelle, uses it correctly.

Cornelius will be back next week. The look on Erin and Dexter’s faces are priceless. They look downright ill, though Erin recovers quickly for the cameras and does this uncomfortable hanging hug on him as they exit the room insisting she’s *sooooo* glad he didn’t have to go home in the most unbelievable manner. Next week is only going to get uglier in the workroom.
