10 Things That Make Mamma Mia Amazing

Meryl Streep is the greatest gift the world has ever been given. She’s amazing and talented and she was willing to grace the film Mamma Mia with her presence. Honestly, without her the movie would be absolutely nothing. She makes it.

If it was any other actress, this movie would definitely not hold up. It’d be a mishap into the turning musicals into movies trend and we’d forget the movie even happened. But because Meryl is Donna, we still turn to it for enjoyment eight years later.

And her performance is nothing less than incredible. Like most of what Meryl does, she pours her heart and soul into the role and makes everyone believe her struggle with these three men (mainly Sam).

It’s such a beautiful performance that she literally makes this movie what it is. Without her, it would be nothing. Meryl gives us the performance this film deserves and makes it the classic that it is today. Plus her fake pout crying she does while Tanya and Rosie sing to “Dancing Queen” to her is absolutely Oscar worthy.

And let us not forget how amazing “The Winner Takes It All” was. She was so good in the movie that you forget how terrible Pierce Brosnan actually was.
