The Cast Still Talking About It
One of the best things about Mamma Mia is that the cast never stops talking about it. With a movie like this, most of us would probably forget about it or not talk about it nearly as much as we do with Mamma Mia but because the cast loves it so much, we all do as well. Especially since it seems to come up at least once a year.
With Meryl and Colin, the two constantly are bringing up the movie. When Colin Firth went onto Inside The Actors Studio, he was asked what he would want God to say to him when he arrived at the pearly gates. His response? “I personally thought you were very good in Mamma Mia.”
When Colin was presenting the Best Actress award at the Academy Awards in 2012, he brought up Mamma Mia again.

It shows just how much that movie can mean to people. Whether or not it’s an Oscar worthy movie is clear, it’s not, but that doesn’t change how important Mamma Mia is. It’s a brilliant film that’s fun and shows us the importance of love and friendship and without it, we wouldn’t have Colin Firth in linen shirts and that’d be a real tragedy.
