Lexa

Lexa. She was the Commander of the 13 clans in The CW’s The 100, and my favorite badass of them all. Portrayed by the incredibly talented Alycia Debnam Carey, Lexa stole the show as a guest character and won over the audience by her first appearance.

If you haven’t watched The 100, I suggest you do so. Now. Hurry. At least the episodes that Lexa is in. Unfortunately, her character didn’t last as long as we would’ve liked, but she lives on in the memory of viewers and in the hearts of fans.

This character was so important to such a deserving audience. She was a powerful leader, heroic and confident. Her bravery hid her vulnerability. Her relationship with the show’s female lead, Clarke Griffin, was nothing short of revolutionary. She represented the LGBT community in a time where they were highly underrepresented. This not only made her an icon for females, but also for those identifying as queer.

Perfect your war paint, and prepare for battle while dressing like Lexa for Halloween. And you know what would make this costume even better? A Clarke Griffin. So grab your best lady friend or your girlfriend, and proudly represent Clexa on October 31st.
