Wynonna Earp- a Syfy show about a demon fighting, leather wearing, whiskey-slugging girl. Wynonna is dealt a pretty shitty hand in terms of supernatural family curses and she’s faced with demon revenants coming back from her grandfather’s past. This show is a flawless mixture of sarcasm and wit that goes against gender and sexuality norms. It exemplifies a rebellious female lead who succumbs to nobody.

This character is so important in so many ways. She’s my favorite character on television right now because she’s far from perfect. “Wynonna going all Wynonna again,” is not only my favorite quote in this show but also captures the entire essence of what it represents.

Grab your favorite leather pants. Carry around a bottle of whiskey. Eat some donuts. Don’t forget your “peacemaker,” Wynonna’s gun that’s been passed down to her from Wyatt Earp, her grandfather. Most importantly, you don’t have to try and be perfect. Drop your drink at the bar. Trip walking down the street. Don’t be ashamed. Say what you’re feeling. Be nuts. Be vulnerable. Be the crazy chick with the gun. Run around yelling “top shelf” and calling people “shit-tickets.” We should live like Wynonna everyday, not just Halloween.
