40. T-Dog Death

If anyone went out in a badass, brave way in The Walking Dead, it’s Theodore Douglas (Robert Singleton), our very own T-Dog. He was first introduced in Season 1 and has been with the group since it all began.

He was one of the first ones to meet Rick Grimes during this apocalypse. Rick saved him from Merle’s (Michael Rooker) vicious racial attack on him in the first episode. Rick handcuffs Merle to a pipe on the roof they’re trapped on. T-Dog drops the keys down a vent, causing some friction between him and Daryl, but he owns up to it and travels back into Atlanta to help Daryl find his brother

There’s really no way to dislike this character. He died a hero, saving Carol:

"“This is God’s plan. He’ll take care of me. Always has. He’s gonna help me lead you out of these tunnels.”"

As the prison was being overrun with walkers, he got bit by one. Him and Carol were then trapped in the tunnels between cellblocks. There was nowhere left to go and he had already been bitten, so he sacrificed himself to save Carol. He lunged towards the walkers, pushing them back, so Carol was free to run to safety.
