That’s right. Former Sgt. Abraham Ford was called to duty one last time during Season 7’s premiere. Negan’s game of eenie meenie miney mo ended with a blow to the head of our witty, hot tempered, and hearty Abraham. He took the first hit like a man- getting back up to tell Negan one last thing before he was put down.

"“Suck my nuts.”"

That’s the Abraham we all know and love. Michael Cudlitz, himself, thought up this infamous one liner. He knows his character best, and he knows the fans would want him to go out with a bang.

This was a tough death to swallow. Not just for the characters on the show, but for the fans too. Abraham came onto The Walking Dead in Season 4 like a spitfire, guns blazing. The gesture that truly broke us was when he shot Sasha the peace sign, an iconic symbol of their relationship.

He went out a hero- protecting the group. The way a character like Abraham should go out. Cudlitz recently noted:

"“He would give his life to protect anyone in this group. He became a soldier in arms with all these other people and was willing to give the ultimate sacrifice.”"
