7. Glenn Lives… Again

I’ll admit it. I cried when Glenn fell into a zombie hoard. I cried for him. I cried for Maggie. I cried that I loved a show that keeps taking away my favorite characters.

Glenn has been through his fair share of almost death moments. But this one reigned the most worrisome. After Glenn and Nicholas become trapped on the top of a dumpster while a hoard of walkers rush toward them, fans thought these two were goners. Especially after Glenn watched Nicholas shoot himself, and yanking him down with him into the hoard.

The last scene shows Glenn’s bloody face and walkers tearing into the insides of a body. Some knew this wasn’t the end of Glenn’s story. I was hopeful, yes, but I was also devastated. I thought this was it for our little pizza delivery guy.

Until a few episodes later, when you see that the body being torn apart by walkers is actually Nicholas’s, and Glenn crawls under the dumpster to hide. He forms a shield around the dumpster with dead walkers and is trapped there for a while.
