Not only was this a shocking moment in The Walking Dead, this was an important and vital piece of information, and also an eerie one.

I, for one, always wondered how this virus was carried, how it was transferred, and what is the science behind it. That’s probably the biologist in me. But I’m sure fans across the world were also curious at what was happening at the molecular level.

One thing was reveled though. Something that sent some shivers through my spine: everyone is infected. How creepy is that?

This news came after Daryl found Randall, who wasn’t bit, but had turned. Rick finally admits to something Jenner told him at the CDC- “whatever it is, we all carry it.” Every single person has contracted this virus, and carries it. If you die, you turn- unless your brain is dead. It’s still unknown where the virus came from and how it spread, but it’s worldwide.
