24. Deanna’s Death
Deanna Monroe was a fireball- the leader of Alexandria. Her compassion for others overpowered her many other qualities. She saw the good in most, but quickly picked up on the bad. She saw both sides to everything. She saw Rick for who he was- a leader and a protector. She welcomes the group because she saw the strength in them.
"“I didn’t run out to help you because I like you. Or because you’re a good man, a good father. Or because you can grow one heck of a beard. It’s because you’re one of US. That’s the right answer.“"
She was bitten by a walker who was going after Rick, saving his life in the process. Although I should have seen her death coming, I liked to believe this spitfire of a woman was invincible, and would last long in this world. She reminded me a lot of Rick. Her and Rick’s dynamic was strong, yet forgiving. But in the land of The Walking Dead, there can only be one Rick Grimes. And he isn’t gone yet.
She’s put down by her son, Spencer (Austin Nichols), who went through a huge character development in the process.
