Pittsburgh pulled off a 3-2 win in the shootout for their season opener against the Washington Capitals without Sidney Crosby. Evgeni Malkin expressed frustration with his game after the win, so he’ll try to show off a bit more against the Avs. Meanwhile, the Avs will have to play the Dallas Stars this Saturday and could be hungry for a win if the Stars take the W.

In this national game, we’ll see if the Rangers can continue scoring well after pulling off 5 goals in their season opener to beat the Isles. Meanwhile, the Sharks held the Los Angeles Kings to just 1 goal in that opening game, but didn’t score a lot themselves, with only 2 goals. We’ll see if it ends up being a goaltender battle or if the goals will flow.
