Rory Gilmore – Gilmore Girls
Why She’s Awesome: America’s favorite daughter is coming back to television in November, but she’s already given us so much to justify dressing as her. As one half of the Gilmore Girls duo, Rory (played by Alexis Bledel) is a hard-working overachiever who loves her mom, her friends, books, and coffee, in that order. Throughout the many seasons of Gilmore Girls, Rory had the major ups and downs that every young girl has growing up. She fell in love with the wrong guys, made some seriously questionable decisions, and got so down on herself she almost gave up on her dreams. But throughout it all, with the support of her family and friends, she remained optimistic, loving, and gracious. I can’t wait to see where Rory is now, but her past is 100% worth celebrating!

What You’ll Need: Rory’s style is typically casual-preppy, so break out your cardigans! Pair it with a button-down and a pair of nice jeans for Rory’s go-getter look. Simple, right? Don’t forget to carry around a to-go cup of Luke’s coffee – just decorate a coffee sleeve with the Luke’s logo and use it with a Starbucks cup! And remember, Rory brings a book everywhere!
Next Level Move: Chilton Rory! If casual Rory is not quite recognizable enough for your tastes, go with the uniform from her high school alma mater. Start with a light blue button-down and a plaid skirt. Then look for a navy blue blazer at a thrift store! Feel free to print out the Chilton crest and attach it as a “patch” to the blazer. Include some navy blue knee-highs and some Oxford shoes. And for the finishing touch on Rory’s schoolgirl getup, a small navy blue tie. But keep the coffee and book, of course!
