Roanoke: The Witch Of The Wood

The Witch of the Wood is a relatively new character on the Roanoke season. We learned more about her in the fourth episode but her big reveal was when Matt was having sex with her in the woods and Shelby found them.

Roanoke is full of callbacks to past seasons and many are speculating that Matt’s sleeping with the Witch is to bring on the anti-Christ (something that happened in Murder House).

Though we do not know everything about her yet, she seems to be the power behind everything happening to Matt and Shelby’s home. But the reveal that Matt is sleeping with her in the woods when they’re all supposed to be looking for Flora? Confusing yet extremely intriguing.

We later learn that Matt had no recollection of doing it and then later on, he ends up sleeping with her again and doesn’t realize what’s happening either. Though it hasn’t happened yet, it is easy to speculate that the goal is to get the Witch of the Wood pregnant with Matt’s child.

Why? We don’t know yet but we will eventually and when we do, you know it’s going to be an amazing shock just like her initial reveal was.
