Hotel: The Ten Commandments Killer Reveal

John was the protagonist throughout all of Hotel, he was a family man who lost his son and turned to drinking to try and cope. He was a cop who only wanted to do what was right and stop these horrific murders from happening.

So when it was revealed that it was, in fact, John who was unknowingly brutally murdering all these people? Absolute insanity.

John (Wes Bentley) moves into the Hotel Cortez when his wife Alex (Chloe Sevigny) and him decide that they can’t try and forget about their lost child. So, he moves into the hotel. What he doesn’t know until later in the season is that without his knowledge, he’s been committing the murders he’s investigating.

The reveal that it is in fact John who’s the murderer was met with mixed reviews. Some saw it coming, others were completely floored by it. But whether or not you saw it coming or not, it was an amazing use of character and Wes Bentley did an amazing job playing him.

Yeah, his storyline ended up a bit confusing in the end and he accepted his murders and continued them but that initial reveal was still one of the most shocking moments ever on American Horror Story.
