Best bets: Blues-Blackhawks, Kings-Sharks

NBCSN snagged two playoff rematches for its first 2016-17 season Wednesday Night Rivalry. There’s no love lost between the Blues and Blackhawks, especially with the Blues managing to take the last series in 7 games. That’s after the Blackhawks coming back from a nasty 3-1 deficit. Just one goal separated them in the final game. Expect both teams to come out trying to prove something, especially after they closed out the preseason against each other. (And, of course, we’ll see if Nail Yakupov, former first overall pick, breaks in for the Blues after the trade last week.)

Ditto with the Kings and Sharks, with the Sharks taking last season’s playoff series 4-1. The Sharks also happened to win 6-3 in that final game, though they gave up a 3-0 lead and needed to score some goals in the third period to take the win. The Sharks will also be hungry after losing the Stanley Cup to the Pittsburgh Penguins at the end of the playoffs. Just prepare yourself to stay up pretty late for this West Coast game.
