4. The Doctor Who Statue Of Liberty

When the Ponds and the Eleventh Doctor came to Manhattan, the weeping angels haunted the dreams of many. And the biggest angel of them all was the Statue of Liberty. While Comic Con was filled with an absorbent amount of the Eleventh Doctors, there were only a few weeping angels. And none scarier than this one.

While some weeping angels costumes can be frightening, most of the time they’re just amazing to look at. The amount of detail that goes into creating something that turns your entire body into stone visually is absolutely stunning to see.

Now, if they’re also completely terrifying in the process? Even more power to the cosplayer. With this, it was one of the only Statue of Liberty weeping angels out there so it truly stood out amongst the crowd. And, the uniqueness of it made it memorable. Yes, it was a mask but it’s the fact that this cosplayer chose an obscure moment in Doctor Who history that made it special.

And it also helped that it was New York Comic Con, home of the Statue of Liberty herself. No matter how the costume was put together, it makes the list because it stood out in more ways than one!
