6. Thorin Oakenshield

When it comes to characters from The Hobbit or any of the Lord of the Rings series, it can be a tricky game. The characters usually have pretty elaborate costumes so most just go for the general look. You can dress up like Gandalf the Grey and it can be as simple as a gray robe and beard.

But this gentleman stepped up the game. He made it so anyone who wanted to cosplay someone from Tolkien’s series needed to be ready.

Every detail is well thought out and put together to the exact likeness of Thorin Oakenshield. It seems like this cosplay took a really long to make and it paid off.

This cosplayer took the art seriously, something that did lack a bit at this Comic Con, but it made for a stand out work. From every ring to even his face looking like Richard Armitage’s, this man clearly knew what he was doing.

Other than a couple of Gandalfs and a few hobbits, the Lord of the Rings cosplays were a little light this year but that is all made up for with how absolutely amazing this Thorin is. Thank you, sir, for being the dwarf we always needed.
