When it was announced that David Tennant was leaving Doctor Who, people around the world cried. When they said that Matt Smith would be taking over as the eleventh Doctor, everyone asked “where are his eyebrows?”.

Despite our original opinions on Matt Smith, it quickly became clear that his man who had absolutely no eyebrows was going to somehow find his way into our hearts. And he did. He took root there and stayed and even now that he’s gone, we still think about him.

Smith is the biggest hipster of them all. He’s gangly and strange and he’s perfect in every possible way. He wanted to be a soccer player but he got injured and took up drama instead. Because of this, it makes him a very grounded and grateful person. It also makes for cute moments from when he was on Doctor Who and would play soccer with the crew.

Matt is also an extremely gifted actor. He even pushed himself so far out of his comfort zone to portray Patrick Bateman in the London version of American Psycho and all of the reviews praised his work.

Matt Smith may not be your conventional handsome guy, but he has a way of sneaking into your heart and refusing to get out.
