Brad Pitt Agrees To Take Drug Test After Child Abuse Accusation

In the scandal surrounding the divorce of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the stories continue to roll out and now, Brad Pitt is willingly taking a drug test.

A drug test that Pitt is voluntarily taking is the latest news in the Jolie/Pitt divorce. The case against Brad Pitt began after an alleged incident on September 14th. The family was flying from France to their home in Los Angeles when Pitt reportedly got physical with their son Maddox. What we do know is that Angelina Jolie is filing for full custody of their children. We know that she filed after the alleged incident. All other information is speculation and spin at this point.

It is said (via Jolie’s mouthpieces) that Brad got verbally abusive and physical with their 15 year-old and it fueled her need for a divorce. Now Pitt’s people are hitting back. US Weekly recently posted an article that was decidedly pro-Pitt and villainized Jolie. In fact, from the looks of a lot of magazine covers, it looks like Pitt’s people are winning the spin war in that arena, including other articles from People who are clearly working his corner.

And yet, as LainyGossip noted earlier this week, even the pro-Pitt articles are full of admissions that suggest indefensible behavior, including that Pitt’s outburst caused damage to the airplane. it speaks to how hard they are pushing his side of the story that those details are not getting that much play in the press.

Before the incident on the tarmac, many believed that Pitt had cheated on Jolie and that was the reason for their split. Since, the ‘other’ woman in question, Marion Cotillard, took to instagram to explain her lack of involvement in their divorce.

One doubts that Jolie asked her to do this, but it does quash any discussion of “well Jolie was originally the ‘other woman’, so she had this coming” talk. If anything, it cuts off a particularly nasty avenue Pitt’s people could have taken otherwise.

According to sources defending his side of the story, Pitt is going through “whatever means necessary” in the case. He’s agreeing to drug tests and following all the necessary steps. (Because no one has ever cheated on a drug test right?) And, as always, the shield of “the children come first” continues to play heavily from both parties. One wonders how Jolie’s people, who have been using TMZ as their preferred spin outlet, will respond.
