Gravity Falls

(Disney XD)

Twelve-year-old twins Dipper (Jason Ritter) and Mabel Pines (Kristen Schaal) are spending their summer in Gravity Falls, Oregon. They’re staying with their crotchety, fez-wearing granduncle Stan, who puts them to work in his Mystery Shack, a tourist trap full of faked-up oddities. After stumbling onto a secret hideaway hidden under a tree, they find a journal full of strange ciphers and symbols. On the cover is a six-fingered hand and the number 3. From the parts they can understand, it seems that Gravity Falls is teaming with mysterious mysteries. For one thing, Mabel’s new boyfriend is actually a pile of gnomes in an overcoat.

Every episode, they uncover new supernatural oddities and even odder locals. The thing is, even though Stan owns a store devoted to the unexplained and supernatural, he never notices the real weirdness is happening all around him. Or does he? The twins keep finding hidden rooms and strange items in Stan’s house. He always waves them away, ha ha ha, nothing to see here. This only makes Dipper more determined to uncover the truth.

Dipper and Mabel delve deeper into the bizarre reality of Gravity Falls. On the way, they meet a merman named Mermando, mainly Manotaurs, boy band clones, and adopt a pig named Waddles. But when they meet Bill Cipher, a terrifying interdimensional triangle, Dipper realizes they all may be in great danger. The twins are the only ones who can save Gravity Falls from chaos.
