Killjoys

(Syfy)

Great jackets, rocking soundtrack, snappy dialog, non-stop action and mysterious, green goo: these are building blocks great science fiction TV. Killjoys, on Syfy, follows a team of bounty hunters with a saucy, talking ship named Lucy. Each warrant takes them deeper into dangerous layers of political and corporate intrigue.

Killjoys focuses on a trio of bounty hunters. They’re led by Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen), a trained assassin with fabulous hair and daddy issues. She is backed up by Johnny (Aaron Ashmore) and D’avin (Luke Macfarlane), recently reunited brothers who have 10 years of secrets between them.  Their job is catching bad guys in the Quad, and their motto is “The warrant is all.”

Nine royal families rule the Quad—planet Qresh and its three moons, Westerly, Leith and Arkyn. The Nine and their Company own everything in the Quad. Claiming larger issues are at stake, the Nine keep the residents of the moons poor and oppressed. Is it just an excuse to gain power and enslave the residents of Leith and Westerly?

Between warrants, the team uncovers more about Dutch’s disturbing past. And when D’avin is kidnapped by a cabal within a conspiracy, they start to learn that their own involvement goes much deeper than anyone suspected.
