2. Kafka’s Motorbike Release Party

To Bridget’s surprise, and ours, Mark Darcy appears at the Kafka’s Motorbike book release party she is at. The scene is simple and cute. What makes us fall in love with Mark Darcy is the fact that despite Bridget’s attempt at being polite, he pokes fun at her. Bridget carefully figures out what she wants to say about everyone she introduces. And then Mark tells everyone that Bridget used to run through his yard naked.

During the event, Bridget fumbles and does terribly but there is a glint in Darcy’s eyes that shows his admiration.

One of the lovely things about Mark Darcy is his enamored look he gets on his face whenever Bridget embarrasses herself. It’s like he can’t get enough of it. He uses her mishaps to tease her but in reality, he’s amazed by all that she does.
