Looking for something to read this fall? Check out these 10 summer books.

Let’s face it: to-read piles only get bigger and bigger these days. Every week sees more fresh books to tempt you to ignore those other 300 titles you really want to read. It happens to all of us, really. Unfortunately, that means some books just get lost in the shuffle.

However, that doesn’t mean those books don’t deserve a chance. That’s why we’ve put together this list of ten books released this summer that you might have missed or didn’t even hear about.

Here’re the “rules” of what books made the cut. We’ve focused on science fiction and fantasy, romance, YA, and combinations thereof, though that doesn’t mean there won’t be a few surprises. As for what counts as summer, we looked at books released from May to August of this year. Commencements kick off in May, and Labor Day generally marks the unofficial end of summer; who needs meteorology when we have a calendar at our disposal, right?

As for the following books, we’ve presented them in no particular order. Title links will take you to Amazon’s US store, where you can peruse your format options to your heart’s content (or just add them to your wish list).

We also note that ebooks mean there is no need to wait.

That all being said, let’s get right to it, shall we?
