5. Patterned Times Two: Season 1, Episode 19

Another green patterned outfit makes the list…surprise surprise! This outfit is a little bit softer and has a slightly more feminine vibe. Her green sweater dress with the polka dot shirt under it would normally clash but this somehow doesn’t. The light green polka dot shirt compliments the dark green dress with its brightness while the green dress doesn’t take anything away with its cooler tone. Then again, does anything Mindy ever wear clash? The fashion team for Mindy Lahiri has to be full of some geniuses…Mindy Kaling included in that list, of course.

This outfit is another throwback to Season 1, but it seems like something Mindy would actually wear in Season 4 or 5. There’s just so many layers to this outfit and I can’t imagine this outfit being able to work without all of the pieces together. There’re so many different shades of green but it doesn’t overpower the outfit or make her look too washed out. The small amounts of blue from the top and bottom of her shirt really break it up and give her look something other than green to rely on. Her green earrings really finish the look, though.
