4. Zatanna
Who she is: Zatanna Zatara is the daughter of DC superhero Giovanni Zatara. Although she masquerades as a stage magician, she has mystical powers just like her father. She can use magic to create almost anything. If Zatanna loses her voice, she becomes powerless. However, she’s one of the greatest sorceresses in the DC universe and goes to great lengths to circumvent such limitations.
Zatanna is also a member of Justice League Dark, which is slated for a live-action adaptation from Doug Liman in the future.
Why she deserves a tv show: Magic. Quick, how many Harry Potter quotes can you reference that perfectly describe one’s affinity for impossible things made possible by wizardry? Don’t like magic? Alright, let’s consider all the cameos we could be getting: Batman, Poison Ivy, Aquaman (she fused his “spirit” with the ocean once), Madame Xanadu, Dick Grayson. The list goes on. DC loves to sprinkle Easter Eggs all over their projects. Plus, Zatanna mastered dark, highbrow sex appeal a long time ago.
