2010 Christina Hendricks in Zac Posen
Many will quibble with this pick, but I love me some Christina Hendricks, because Christina Hendricks ain’t no size 2. And though she’s far from even close to being considered overweight, in this day and age, with sizism being such a huge problem in the fashion industry, Hendricks a lot of times has a hard time finding anyone to dress her. And when she does find someone, usually they put her in something terrible.
This is one of the few times that didn’t happen. And even more miraculously, it’s a dress that isn’t 1960s era Mad Men clothing, which, due to her character Joan Holloway being a sex symbol on the 1960s era Mad Men, many designers turned to. Nope, instead this is a old school type gown, the sort of thing you’d see more likely in a black and white roll of film for the 1920s. And she looks smashing in it. No arguments against this will be booked at this time.
