We go through the top Emmy Red Carpet moments since the turn of the decade and rank the ten best looks on the carpet since 2010.

The Emmys Red Carpet is both one of the biggest of the year, and one of the most predictably safe. Half the women wear red. The other half wear black. It’s the nature of the beast known as television, which is on the whole a far more conservative one than say, the Golden Globes.

It’s also about who tunes in to the award show itself. The Oscars may have a bigger audience but it’s also a most diverse one, and the stars are simply at another level of fame than those who are television workhorse actors. Playing it safe is good for one’s career at the Emmys.

But every year there are a few who dare to be different. Whether it’s color, pattern or just a devil may care what your great aunt thinks attitude, we get a few looks per year that are just marvelous standouts in the sea of red and black on red. With the Primetime Emmys airing tomorrow, we’ve rounded up the ten best from the last decade to celebrate those ladies who dare to be different.
