4. The Jerseys

Let’s all be honest with ourselves, sports are just another reason to get people to buy things. Ticket, hot dogs, beer, but mostly merchandise. Home jerseys, away jerseys, Winter Classic jerseys, Heritage jerseys, they are all just different excuses for us to buy another piece of clothing with our favorite player’s name on the back. However, there is just something special about wearing a jersey that represents your country. It provides a sense of pride not only for the fans, but for the players. There is a history there in those colors or symbols, or a new history if you are playing for one of the two newly created teams which I guess is pretty cool too.

I personally think that Team North America has some of the sharpest looking jerseys with the strong outlining of the N and A, the black triangle, and striped sleeves. They just look cool and a little rock and roll which of course is perfect for a team full of young guys. The American jerseys aren’t too bad either, classic red, white, and blue with what Adias calls an “unapologetic shield” that reminds one of Captain America. The Finland away jerseys also particularly stand out with the Lannister like lion in red that stands out from the blue and white background.
