Streamlined bob? Check. Futuristic silhouette? Check. Blue eye shadow bracelet? Check-hey wait a second, what. Anthony Ryan Auld may have missed the mark at his 2011 New York Fashion Week catwalk show, what with that blue Wonder Woman-inspired cuff that no doubt could destroy a sheet set with a swipe of the wrist, not to mention a beautiful outfit, but, well, at least he made his mark. Maybe literally. We can almost -almost- forgive him because we love a tulip skirt, especially in fun patterns. The look is great for nearly any body type, but we just can’t get over a model that looks like she’s slowly morphing into a Na’vi being from Avatar, the James’ Cameron movie we didn’t even bother to watch because Leonardo DiCaprio wasn’t in it and it wasn’t called Titanic.

Regardless, by 2015, the Project Runway team must have forgiven him for this little stunt because Auld was invited back for Project Runway-All Stars where he figured out his taste level and designed beautiful garments that eventually won him the All-Star season. What a great story. Everyone likes a comeback. But not many people like the movie Avatar, not to kick up old dirt or anything.
