With New York Fashion Week and Project Runway around the corner, we count down the best (and worst!) looks the contestants have shown.

It’s almost September and that means three things: Anna Wintour is v v busy rn, she’ll have to call you back later, Pumpkin Spice season is SO CLOSE, and Project Runway is about to be delivered to our DVRs. September 15th to be exact.

And like, thank Gunn, you know? Project Runway is equal parts catty and classy, depending on the contestants, and we love to hate some of their more atrocious outfits while even secretly sort of wanting to wear them. Or, on second thought, maybe not the unconventional pieces. We don’t need a dress made out of dumpster lettuce wilting in our closets. Not to mention, what bra do you even wear with that?

As PR fans know and love, every year the top designers get to show at New York Fashion Week, but sometimes to dupe press and avoid spoilers, even those who don’t make it to the finals get to send an entire lookbook down the catwalk. Some of the collections are good and some of them are, well…to quote judge Nina Garcia endlessly, we worry about their taste level.

Judge for yourself! Click on for the ten best (and a couple so bad they’re good) Project Runway New York Fashion Week catwalks.
