Jason Momoa: Golden Delicious

Many know Jason Momoa from Game of Thrones, where he played Khal Drogo, the Dothraki King and strong warrior married to Daenerys Targaryen. With his broad build, beard, and longish hair, he’s a fierce dreamboat for those who love their men big and hairy. He’s also been cast to play the superhero Aquaman, so he’ll be part of the upcoming Justice League movie as well as starring in his own Aquaman film coming in 2018. He’s even become so popular, Guinness recently made a beer in his honor. Called the Mano brew, it was filled in bottles featuring images inspired by Momoa’s many tattoos. Because YES.

The Golden Delicious is one of the larger, more strapping apples you’ll find this fall, perfect for fans of the 6’4 brawny actor. With a mellow taste and fruit flesh that doesn’t brown when exposed to air as quickly as other apples, it’s a hardy variety that you want behind your back. Despite its name, it’s not related to the Red Delicious, yet it’s still an apple that you can use in a variety of dishes, from salads to baked goods to applesauce. (I’m pretty sure that, like Jason Momoa, this apple would be perfect blended with water.)
