Tom Hiddleston: Gala

Though he’s played in blockbusters like Thor for years, Tom Hiddleston has mostly melted hearts through the interviews he’s given, where he’s done things like describe compassion, spout poetry, or make music with only spoons. Sometimes he’s been so sweet, he’s almost given us all cavities. “I gave myself permission to care,” he’s been quoted as saying, “because there are a lot of people in this world who are afraid of caring, or afraid of showing that they care because it’s uncool.” Now that the British sweetheart is dating pop star Taylor Swift, he’s become even more of a household name.

Likewise, the Gala is an apple variety on the rise in recent years, and it’s no wonder: with its crispy texture and super-sweet flavor, it’s a fruit you can snack on as well as bake in pie. Any dish made with the Gala is bound to be as delicious and adorable as the British actor, so much that you might not need vanilla ice cream on top. (But you’ll add it anyway. Because ice cream.) Much like the endearing Hiddleston, the Gala’s attractive pink-and-orange striped skin is not too shabby to look at, either. If you’re craving something seriously sweet and scrumptious to bake this month, grab some Galas while you feast your eyes on the latest batch of Hiddleston press photos.
