Jenna Johnson: Jake T. Austin, the Disney Channel star

Between be a lead on the Disney Channel show The Wizards of Waverly Place and then being on the ABC Family show The Fosters, Jake Austin certainly has history with ABC. Before then, he also voiced Diego of Dora the Explorer fame. He’s been in some movies too, both animation and live action.  All this combined should give him at least a little bit of a fanbase to start on. Despite being new, Jenna Johnson might still come in with a handful of votes, since her name is known to regular viewers. Some might even vote for her simply because she’s finally in the main cast after so long in the dance troupe. Still, neither of them will have many, at least at first.

That means that to survive more than a couple of weeks, Jake has to be a good dancer. Disney Channel stars often prove to be, although many of them come from more musical shows than Jake’s. Jenna’s abilities to teach and improve him are currently unknown. He also will need to attract voters as he goes. A good personality will help with that, if he has one. Jenna’s ability to build her own fanbase is also an unknown. They could make the final. They could be out quick.
