2.) Wearable tech that monitors your stats and has your back
People have been predicting the advent of monitoring technology for a while now. We’re not just talking about Big Brother-style tech, though. We might enjoy a gentler use of it, like a technology that monitors your health and emotional well-being. Imagine a watch that can monitor your stress levels, sense your terrible day, and have a drink and your favorite show already playing when you walk in the door.
We’re already part way there. The Apple watch has the Starbucks app. The Starbucks app lets you order your coffee from your car at the long red light, so that when you pull up it’s already sitting there on the counter awaiting you. If you go to the same Starbucks long enough the Barista will even know to add to Sugar in the Raws and just the right amount of half and half. Is it really that much of a stretch to have one that can order your refrigerator around the same way?
Or maybe you’ll wear a smart coat, like Marty McFly in Back to the Future Part II, that adjusts to new weather and gives you the latest sports statistics.
