10. Cersei’s Armor Gown (Season 6)

Cersei’s “Coronation Gown” was black leather and the visual statement of the Mad Queen come to power. But before she stepped to the Iron Throne and sat down in that, there was her first dress of the finale. This elicited gasps from fans as she dressed to not attend her own trial. Cersei’s worn a lot of styles over the years. We’ve seen the looser southron styles to the regal Lannister red and gold. But even when she was in mourning, she was never in head to toe black. Her accents were always gold, a reminder of the Lannister within.

This is the episode where that Lannister inside Cersei died, and that dress shows it. There is no red or gold, only black and dark silver. The high pointed color which looks almost like it would suit a wicked witch in a fairy tale. Her shoulders may have the Lannister lions worked in them. But they are dark silver, as are the chains she wears across her shoulders. This is a woman who has crossed all the lines, and has napalmed all the bridges. She will leave none of her enemies alive in her wake.  Even twenty minutes before the Sept blew, you could see it in her clothes.
