50 of Game of Thrones most stunning outfits

30. Oberyn’s Armor (Season 4)
Oberyn Martell was only in the show a very short time, eight episodes, one less than Ned Stark. He didn’t even have that much screen time in those episodes. And yet the Dornishman made a hell of an impression, not just as a character, but in his style. So many of the men in King’s Landing are content to stuffy it up in black brocades and plain oiled leathers. None of that for our man from the South. Sexy is as sexy does. Oberyn was a man who lived for pleasure, and that included in his clothing choices.
But one of his most striking looks was his last, the armor in which he confronted The Mountain. In order to create it, the production created the leather snake skin pattern from scratch. And unlike the heavy metal adorning others in King’s Landing, the most striking thing about Oberyn’s get up is how light it is. Light, and yet think enough to ward off blows from the Mountains enormous sword. This is, of course, if The Mountain could get a swing at the man who practically danced around him in circles.
One of my favorite details of this outfit though? There was a helmet designed to go with it. Too bad Oberyn didn’t bother wear it.
