15. Animal House, with Amy Schumer

When it comes to comedy, the genre is pretty much Amy Schumer’s wheelhouse. After her memorable appearances in segments like the Comedy Central roasts of famous celebrities, her show Inside Amy Schumer went on to become wildly popular for its wicked jokes and smart, incisive criticism of many issues facing women in today’s world. She’s also written and starred in movies like Trainwreck and the upcoming Mother/Daughter and continues to occasionally tour as a comedian. With all of that in mind, it would be insane not to cast her in a potential reboot of the 1978 movie Animal House, which starred the late John Belushi.

The original Animal House can’t help how very dude-heavy it is; it takes place in a fraternity, after all, and it was largely inspired by most of the real-life stories that the writers (including Ghostbusters‘ Harold Ramis) had experienced in their own lives. It also largely inspired the “gross out genre” of films and all of the movies that followed which tended to rely on toilet humor or disgusting jokes. Schumer has a way of mixing wittiness with the occasional poop joke which would make her a perfect fit for an Animal House remake.
