“Can’t Stop the Feeling!” follows in the footsteps of “Happy.” It’s a feel-good, toe-tapping, hip-wiggling number from a kids’ movie (put aside the fact that it’s from Trolls, of all things) that’s somehow just the right kind of cheesy to make you want to sing along. If you watch the music video, there’s something infectious about all the goofy citizens in their mismatched, fake thrift store outfits bouncing around the city in seemingly unchoreographed freedom. And even if you don’t, the catchy rhythm and uplifting lyrics might have you dancing anyway.

It’s the perfect summer song, right? Upbeat, endlessly cheerful, with words and sound that invoke thoughts of idealized nightclubs and beach parties for the whimsical adults and teens, while keeping things family-friendly enough for the kids in the car to jam along, too. It’s that easygoing, soulpop feel that makes you want to loosen up and dance like no one’s watching. Everyone is, of course, but don’t worry–they’re dancing too.
