10. Bellatrix Lestrange

Here we have another gem from Harry Potter. This one more complex than the usual Luna Lovegood get-up. While both witches require a good hair-curling, Bellatrix’s outfit is more specific and hard to come by than Luna’s colorful garb and bright tights.

This cosplay is a spot-on Bellatrix, from her perfectly coiffed head to her scuffed black boots. The corset and long, detached sleeves really differentiate Bellatrix’s wardrobe from that of her fellow Death Eaters. (Although it’s an absolute laugh to imagine the likes of Snape or Lucius Malfoy in these ‘duds). The entire ensemble has a nice distressed look to it, as is customary for the eldest Black daughter. And this Harry Potter fan has mastered Bellatrix’s lackadaisical but confident posture to a tee.

This is a prime example of why you need attitude as well as attire to pull off just about any cosplay, and this particular Bellatrix nails all of the above. Those curls are no joke, and the outfit itself is masterfully put together. So there can be no mistake that this cosplayer won’t be shunted to the background of the Potterverse. Rather, she’ll saunter to the forefront as assuredly as Bellatrix Lestrange herself.
