14. Luna Lovegood

Since the opening of their Wizarding World theme park, Universal Orlando’s “A Celebration of Harry Potter” has always been a breeding ground for some exceptional Harry Potter cosplay. And this year was no exception. From the big-bearded Hagrid to the crystal-gazing Trelawney to the vibrant colors of Nymphadora Tonks’ hair. The park was packed with fans dressed as their favorites.

Beloved among Potterheads for her quirky charm and the way she walks to the beat of her own drum, Luna Lovegood here is an easy cosplay with a few intricate accessories. Note this Luna’s Spectrespecs and edition of The Quibbler. Easy enough to order online, but they won’t be items you’ll come by in your average retailer.

As for the rest of the Luna Lovegood look, this cosplayer exemplifies the ease in which it can be accomplished. A good curl, colorful dress, mismatched tights and socks, and a pair of Chucks will do the trick to show off Luna’s eccentricities. To add that extra touch, a simple Google search can help you find templates to make your own Quibbler. Or you can find the magazine and specs alike in various shops on Etsy (from crafts to cosplay, it’s truly a haven for all things fandom). If you can imagine what the mysterious creature looks like, a homemade Crumple-Horned Snorkack would likewise be an appropriate addition to any Luna cosplay.
