6. Femme Aquaman

With Jason Momoa on the rise as DC’s new Aquaman, it seems likely that no one will ever mock this superhero again. Since Aquaman has the ability to control the ocean—most of which has gone unexplored, mind, so who knows what’s down there—his powers are really no laughing matter. All the same, he’d been an easy target up until now. But that seems soon to change, because everyone knows you don’t mess with Momoa.

And you certainly don’t mess with this cosplayer, who nails the Aquaman look hard. She’s got my heart palpitating perhaps more than Momoa did when his official photos were released. Her costume is an ingenious twist on Aquaman’s look, made more accessible by scaly tights in lieu of fins. From the gold netting around her waist to the trident in her hand, she hits all the details, minute and big-picture alike. Her accessories are on point, and the beachy waves she’s styled her hair in adds a nice touch to the ensemble, too.

This cosplayer has the confidence and the poise to pull off Aquaman to a tee. This look is an ideal runner-up to what Momoa has in store for us come 2018. I’m not drooling—you’re drooling.
