Daniel Radcliffe talks to the women of “The View” about dating and upcoming movie Imperium while Matthew Lewis discusses his return to stage in London.

More from Harry Potter

We here at Wizard and Whatnot have been covering a lot interviews with the Potter alumni lately.   Daniel Radcliffe especially seems to be on quite an interview circuit of late. With the buzz of Swiss Army Man, the New York Broadway, Privacy, and his newest film, Imperium, he has plenty to promote.

Recently, he’s been about and about doing the promotional tour for the latter. While Radcliffe discussed the film, and his life as an actor, the subject of Harry Potter was never far from anyone’s minds, especially with the release of the Cursed Child script only weeks ago. Radcliffe has been dubious about going to see the show. But speaking to CBS This Morning, he surprised fans with his excitement to read the script

Turns out that the actor in him is quite interested to do so.

With Radcliffe admitting recently that he would consider returning to the role “if the script was right,” does this suggest he’s checking to see if in fact *this* script is right? With Radcliffe only turned 26 last month, he’s got a good decade before he’s even close to the right age for the role (Interestingly enough, Warner Brothers has suggested it will be a good ten years before they get around to developing it as well.) Time will tell.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Daniel Radcliffe joined the women of ABC’s The View where he was asked more questions about his personal life. There was plenty of “girl talk” about his relationship with his girlfriend, Erin Darke.

Then the conversation moved on his latest film, Imperium. In the film, he plays a FBI agent that infiltrates a white supremacy group. Radcliffe pointed out that he walked away from the film with the hope that it be a part of the bigger dialogue of race relations.

"“I am firmly of the belief nobody comes out of the womb thinking like this. You have to learn this. I did come away with a semblance of hope.”"

Here’s a clip from Imperium, that will be out in theaters August 19th.

While Radcliffe is waiting to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Matthew Lewis’ excuse is that he’s simply been too busy, despite Found 111 (where he is currently rehearing) being just around the corner from Palace Theatre. But he was able to sit down with London New Online for an interview. It seems he too will be waiting it out.

"“I haven’t seen Harry Potter. I’m going to see it towards the end of the year, I think around November time. I was going to go last week, but I’ve just been too busy, so I think I’m going to wait until this dies down, but I’m very excited.”"

According to the interview, his new production, Unfaithful,, is a window into the complicated world of relationships. When asked about the concept, Lewis said it was a question he had even asked himself.

"“It’s a question we’ve been asking each other over the last few weeks. What is this play? It’s something that is very deep. There are a lot of themes that are running throughout it, that we are all trying to get to the bottom of really.”"

In the show, Lewis is a male escort named Peter, a far cry from the nerdy Neville Longbottom. He hopes the audience can form some kind of connection with the play.

"“Owen [McCafferty] has written a really honest play, with all the characters and all the situations, relatable in some way. Everyone who comes in, no matter from which walk of life, will see something in this play or one of the characters in one of the scenarios and go wow, that’s me!”"

Unfaithful opens at Found 111 opens on the 25th of August and runs until October 8th.
