A Wrinkle in Time is Already Looking to be the Best Film of 2018

The beloved book by Madeline L’Engle is finally coming to our screens as Ava Duvernay sets her sights on bringing A Wrinkle in Time to life!

For a lot of people, A Wrinkle in Time defined their childhood. Or, if you’re someone like me, you read it as an adult and you are now very much in love with it. All of the amazing pictures that Ava DuVernay, the director of the film, is sharing continues to make us excited about it.

But really, what is the best part about this movie? The wide array of stars that are bringing these iconic characters to life range from Mindy Kaling to Chris Pine. Even Oprah is involved!

But while the cast is great and Ava is an incredible director, the true important part of A Wrinkle in Time is the message it gives to young girls. It is a novel that shows us girls that we don’t have to pretend like we’re not the heroes of our own stories.

Meg ends up saving everyone. She is the hero they need to succeed. It truly makes us all realize that we’re not just secondary characters. Even Dr. Alex Murray couldn’t save them and Meg had to do it.

That’s truly what is amazing about this story. It was boundary pushing for the time it was created. And now we are getting the story brought to life in a new and exciting way. And I, for one, am very excited about it!
