Shocking! Sia Releases a Kinda Creepy Video for “Never Give Up”

Sia’s latest single “Never Give Up” might have an awesome message but the new lyrics video is still a little bit creepy.

Sia is known for her distinctive voice, wig, and artistic music videos featuring children. So even though the video released for her latest single “Never Give Up” is only a lyric video, she doesn’t hold back. The video is all black-and-white and features a Sia music video staple–slightly creepy children. In this video, the children are faceless and running through an abandoned train station in slow motion as lyrics from the song surround them. It’s actually creepier than that sentence made it sound. Check it out below:

By the end of the video, the kids rejoice because assumably they’ve found whatever they were searching for. “Never Give Up” is a song from the Lion film soundtrack and certainly contains the uplifting type of lyrics we need to hear as 2017 begins. After a rough 2016, a reminder to “Never Give Up” might be something we need to hear daily. And it relates to the film too. Lion follows the story of a man who after ending up separated from his family as a boy now searches for them. He probably needs all of the hope he can muster.

Check out the trailer below for the film Lion:

The film also seems to prominently feature a train, hinting at the possible reason for children running through a train station in the video. Perhaps they’re running to get home. Or, they could simply be running continuously as a sign that they truly will “Never Give Up.”
