Did you shudder while watching The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix? If the story of the Crain family filled your nights with terror, Halloween Horror Nights is bringing those dormant fears into the real world. Are you prepared to face those ghosts of the past?

In a recent announcement by Halloween Horror Nights, both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will have The Haunting of Hill House-inspired experiences. As guests weave their way through the mazes, various scenes from the striking series will be included.

According to a recent press release, scenes will include “powerful Red Room – the heart of Hill House – and the infamous Hall of Statues, where deceptive powers overtake everyone who enters.” How the devious minds will bring these images off the screen and into the real world remains to be seen, but the experience will definitely take people’s breath away. It might be hard to tell if the apparitions are part of the imagination or something ready to snatch guests into the darkness.

Of course, the many well-known characters will be included. From William Hill, The Tall Man, to The Ghost in the Basement to The Bent-Neck Lady, many people are already envisioning the creepy scenes that guests will have to summon their bravery to face.

A long-time fan of Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, Flanagan, Creator, Director, and Executive Producer of “The Haunting of Hill House,” said, “Some of my favorite memories of Halloween were made at Universal Studios, screaming and laughing with my friends. It is such an honor to be included among such fantastic Haunts, and I’m so glad that fans will be able to walk the halls of Hill House this Halloween. This is – without a doubt – one of the coolest things that’s ever happened to us at Intrepid. We are so excited to visit the Red Room again – we hope to see you all there!”

With this Netflix property coming to one of the year’s most anticipated Halloween events, it will be interesting to see how Universal’s creative teams bring those scenes to life. As seen in previous years, these types of intellectual property adaptations have covered every detail, even down to the smallest minutia. That craft and care has had people coming back time and again to catch all the little nuances that were missed while screaming the first time.

The inclusion of this Netflix property comes after several seasons of Stranger Things experiences being featured at Halloween Horror Nights. Although an upcoming season of Stranger Things is expected, it has yet to be announced if another incarnation of this Netflix property will appear at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights events.

Halloween Horror Nights 30 at Universal Orlando Resort opens on September 3 and runs through October 31, on select nights. Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood begins September 9 and runs through October 31, on select nights. Both events are separately ticketed and more information can be found online.
