Henry Thomas is the latest Haunting of Hill House alum to join Haunting of Bly Manor

The creator of the Haunting series has announced the latest casting news for Haunting of Bly Manor. And according to Mike Flanagan, Henry Thomas is coming back for more thrills and chills.

It looks like we really might see a family reunion of sorts when Haunting of Bly Manor hits Netflix in 2020. In a tweet posted by Mike Flanagan, the series creator, he shared the exciting news that Henry Thomas would be returning for the new season of horror.

Considering in the first season he played the younger version of Hugh Crain, the patriarch of the Crain family, it is nice to see one of the father figures from Season 1 making a comeback. Throughout Haunting of Hill House, Thomas was a steady presence in a home that was slowly destroying his family. And with how well he was able to bring the sanity and strength in a place that would try to strip him of both, it will be nice to see how the actor is able to show off more of his skills in a new Haunting setting.

As The Wrap points out, Thomas will be joining fellow Hill House alums Victoria Pedretti and Oliver Jackson-Cohen for the second season of the anthology series. And while we do not know a lot about the character that he will be playing yet, we do have some idea as to who the others will be portraying. In fact, it seems that Netflix has decided to keep the actor’s role under wraps for now, which is certainly exciting and a great way to build up even more anticipation.

However, while we now know that Henry Thomas will be a part of Haunting of Bly Manor, it seems the casting news for this week is not over yet. In a second tweet posted by Flanagan he said that even more news would be shared before the end of the week.

This means that we should know if more Hill House alums will be joining the fray for the second season or possibly if there are any new additions to the cast. Hopefully, a few more of the original cast end up returning as their chemistry was amazing and they all seemed to work well together.

Even though it is unlikely that the returning cast members will play family members again, as we already know who Jackson-Cohen and Pedretti will be playing, it should be interesting to see how they bring their talents back together.

Fingers crossed for more members of the Crain family joining the action in Haunting of Bly Manor. And of course, we can’t wait to learn who Henry Thomas will be playing this time around.
