The Loki series on Disney+ will reportedly be about the God of Mischief traveling back in time and influencing history. Here’s where we’d like to see the trickster go.
Nothing can stop Loki from staying dead for long, not even Thanos. And while, technically, one version of Loki has died at the hands of the Mad Titan, there’s another Loki loose in the world ready to wreak havoc… and lead his own Disney+ miniseries.
Information about the Loki series surfaced earlier this year, detailing that the show would follow Loki throughout history — with him being an “unlikely influencer on historical events.” Later, during Disney’s investor’s day presentation, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed concept art for the series in which Loki appears to be in the ’70s (just in time for the premiere of Jaws.)

A whole lot of mischief can come from time traveling, and Loki’s got a world of historical events for him to choose from. But, to narrow it down, these five time periods would be perfect for Loki to visit during his Disney+ miniseries.
Elizabethan England
At the heart of Loki’s character is a something so Shakespearean, even Shakespeare himself would be surprised to see someone so akin to his own creations. (Thor director Kenneth Branagh has mentioned that the movie and its characters were Shakespeare-inspired, after all.) Having Loki meet the Bard would be an absolute must for the episode. During the episode, we can see Loki revealing all of his family drama to Shakespeare, and he inadvertently inspires the playwright to create his next big hit (Henry IV, Hamlet, anything with royal drama, basically. Take your pick).
’90s grunge era
Loki can go to almost any place in the world for this one, but one thing is a must: ’90s era Loki must rock the full grunge look. It’s fitting, of course, seeing as he’s all about being dark and moody. Why not have him wear a Nirvana shirt to complete the look? While he’s in the ’90s, there’s ample opportunity for a Captain Marvel crossover, possibly with him running into a young Phil Coulson or Nick Fury. Even better, he gets to meet Dr. Lawson and Goose.
Renaissance Italy
As we know from Loki’s staging of The Tragedy of Loki while he was “king,” the god’s got a flair for the arts. Next to visiting Shakespeare at the Globe Theatre, visiting Italy during the Renaissance would probably be a dream come true. Amid his mischief-making, what if Loki were to influence which copy of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa became famous? With the immense detail in the Prado version compared to the Louvre version, you’re telling me Da Vinci didn’t actually paint the Prado one? (#Conspiracies.)
1943 Stark Expo
I previously mentioned that the Fantastic Four could attend a historical Stark Expo, and I stand by Loki also attending a Stark Expo — because you can never get enough of the Starks. The 1943 expo would be special in particular, since this is the one that Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes visit before Bucky’s off to the war. We’d love to see a cameo from a young Howard Stark during this episode, with Loki probably off trying to steal Stark’s tech or just cause some shenanigans at the big event. While we’re at it, we’d love to see a quick cameo from Bucky too — since he’s getting a Disney+ show as well.
Norway during Yuletide
Loki is not known for spreading cheer (at least in the MCU, that is. Fan opinions may differ). But we’d love to see one episode where the god gets the chance to spread some love for the holiday season. His father, Odin, has been the face of the Yuletide season and was a precursor to Santa Claus as we know him today. But what if there was one day where Odin couldn’t deliver presents to the young boys and girls, and Loki had to take over his father’s job? Loki probably isn’t the best with kids, but his heart just may grow three sizes that day.
